I really like what you're saying Nate, because it presents reality with an idea that runs counter to what is widely conveyed: that it's the monetary, political, cultural elites, etc. that runs the world. On the contrary, evolution comes from what emerges from the multitude, perhaps recovered by the elites but not created by them. And yes, knowing this, every little individual action influences the future of humanity.
Why must grief be metabolized into resilience, as if we are mere instruments of change? Once again, the human spirit is engineered. this time for transformation. But perhaps what is needed is not the polished performance of composure, that whitewashed colonial project of dignity in adversity. Perhaps what is called for is the raw, unfiltered wail, the frenzied, hysterical scream that refuses to be alchemized into something palatable.
Scout reporting for duty 🖐😊 Beautiful list of traits!
Thank you! Loved this episode. Lots of deep thoughts around how to embody and enhance these qualities in myself now.
