Wow - great and informative discussion of a successful alternative, more egalitarian and clean energy efficient community in Virginia! The debate of AC vs DC goes all the way back to Edison vs Tesla! An all of the above hybrid system could work I think with a new electric grid infrastructure geared toward more options for citizens. Historically this has been crushed by the evil fossil fuel corporations as well as the utility companies to a lesser extent. This new Electric grid may have been in the works in Blue States through some of the Infrastructure tax monies from Biden admin bills but as states will now be feeling the budget squeezes from no more Fed assistance on social programs - because of current orange blob traitor - I think most of these Infrastructure resources in the states will now be used just to replace what is being taken away in DC by the MAGA Cult lap dog Republicans and progress will again have to wait on the sidelines. Brutal, hyper-individual, selfish, dog eat dog capitalism sucks and is literally destroying the world.
Just spent half my morning, listening to this wonderful interview. Absolutely fascinating and I hope some people watching will help to fund his projects to bring all this knowledge to a wider audience. Thanks, Nate for your great questions and I hope you get to visit his farm.
New hear Old dude live in central Arkansas this episode sent me on a expedition to salvage as mine DC motors as I can find from old electric car window and windshield wiper motor and the likes fans from car heaters 😁 just to have around for future plans maybe build a sand battery for heating a methane digester and a bilge pump toilet 🪠 thinker with very little cuts out the complexity 💗👍🔥
