I have some concerns with this Frankly that I posted here https://placesiam.substack.com/p/a-different-take-on-the-apparent. My main concern is there seems to be a general trend where the role the "power-elite" play in the apparent "chaos" seems to be ignored, and instead human being's in general and our simple brain are blamed for the over use of energy resulting in the poverty, war, environmental devastation, etc. enveloping the world today. I also would prefer not to take the "rock bottom" plunge Nate suggests where we hold our breath until the path of the power-elites is forced to change, and instead will continue on my journey of floating and breathing and getting out of the shit as best I can. See the link for more details.
My records show the power elite were telling folks what to do for at least a few millenia, and backing up their words with well planned tools and infrasture to harvest more power, along with swift acts of violence. Something I think needs to be paid attention to if simplification is available to all in our day and age.
I hear how hard it is to stay on your path Nate. Continue to be a beacon in dark times. Do follow Michael Meade by chance? That would be a great interview. Kia kaha - stsns strong. Michael Woodcock from NZ
I love this frankly. It was wonderful to feel into everything that you were saying. In my work, I spoke about how amongst the so-called separation we were pulled from our capacity to feel. Why do we need to feel anything other than what was required in order for us to participate in a system that served only itself. Removing our time and capacity to feel became one of the anchor points to remove us from our relationality. The natural universal world is a relational world that system that we not only exist in, but are a part of Strives on relationality and our capacity to feel. And poetry is a glorious way to call us all back to feeling. Having a poetic dance with life no longer a noetic dance with life. This return to deeply feeling more and thinking bless allows us room to come together again. Thank you for sharing.
I have come to the same conclusions. I'm a feeler more than a data collector though so I appreciate your approach and expression in this Frankly. Solidarity.

Nate
Like the idea of floating and breathing, I also want to be a rock in the River.
Metaphors matter, I dive deeper into the issue in my response, for the interested. Keep breathing!
