Pulling punches this late in the emergency flays the soul. I have had to let go of other's perceptions and outcomes just to maintain emotional and spiritual equilibrium. I'd love to have community, REAL flesh and blood community of the same feather, but there's no flock. The dream is still too strong. Poverty hammers the last nail in the coffin of alienation and isolation.
Truth is all I got. It's too much and not enough. 🤷♂️

Clear is kind, the work is never easy and speaking truth is rarely “popular” and increasingly censored or trashed. I am a realist who believes that supporting islands of coherence, stewardship, caring organisms and courage will make us better together.
Regarding Information Hazard #9 (truth risks harming people), I've given it a ton of thought. I touched on it in my post "Collapse - Part 2/5: Depression", but that was two years ago.
Today, I say: it depends on your objective and your perspective.
From the angle of minimising harm to our species and the natural world, and optimising long-term flourishing (we're getting dangerously close to longtermism here), the adult, prudent, responsible, ethical, necessary choice is to release the information hazard (truth) upon the entire world. This is plain to see from an objective POV.
From the angle of minimising mental suffering of everyone for as long as possible, do not. Allow everyone to enjoy life while they still can. Allow them to accelerate off the cliff.
So bias comes into play: I've spread awareness in my writings, but allow my daughter to live in blissful ignorance of collapse, because I can't bear adding to her already considerable burdens (which I won't get into here). My priority is to minimise her suffering. I'm biased.
Obviously, we get into deep philosophical waters here, from what constitutes a good life to the repugnant conclusions of population ethics, but that’s beyond the scope of not just this comment, but my abilities in general.
